Christmas 2009

This was mine and Barak's first Christmas as a married couple, and it turned out better than I could have ever expected! We had a great Christmas Eve dinner at mom and dads. (thanks for the yummy food mom.) We always play a board game after dinner, and this year we chose to play YATZEE. I love that game. After the game we opened our Eve presents. Just like every year it was pajamas. Barak and I decided to stay at our own house for the night which was a huge difference for us considering we are usually surrounded by family first thing Christmas morning. We got up at 6:00 a.m. and started the festivities. We bought ourselves a wii, and a few other things. I decided that it my parents deserved a great gift just for all that have done for us this past year. So we got them a wii too! My mom was so excited. We got the other parents and grandparents pictures. We had our engagement picture printed and framed. They all loved them! So overall it was a great Christmas, and I can't wait for the New Year!

Its been a while....

I have been horrible with this blog. I haven't posted since June! Well a lot has happened but I'll keep it short and sweet. LOL.

Just a little recap: Barak proposed on my graduation day (yes graduation from high school.) We officially moved into our condo and got settled. We purchased a boxer puppy, and named her Oakley. She has such a cute little personality and loves everybody. We took one vacation this past summer to Bear Lake. It was a lot of fun. We got to ride four-wheelers, swim, and just hang out. I love being outside (when the weather is good). At the end of June we set a date for our wedding October 17, 2009.

It was the best day of my life!!! We had PERFECT weather for it being mid October.

The monday after our wedding we set out for our honeymoon. We chose to go to Cancun, MX. It turned out to be a great trip. Worried about a hurricane before left turned into pure sunshine. The first day in Mexico we just hung around the hotel, swimming in the pool and the ocean (just so you know, the water in mexico is like 75 degrees).

Barak chillin by the pool. Us in the ocean.

The next few days we took some tours. The first tour we took was to Chichen Itza. (also known as the city of gold) Its was amazing. The Mayans built some really amazing structures.
We took another tour the next day to Tulum. A city built right next to the ocean. Barak also had the chance to hold some "disgusting creatures" while we were there.
It was a very fun trip, and I'm so happy Barak and I got the chance to do this together.

For thanksgiving this year we went to Arizona to be with family. It was fun. The boys got to ride their four-wheelers, and motorcycles. As for the girls we stayed at grandmas house and played with baby Charlee. The dinner was great, and this trip was good as usual.]

When we got home we finished our christmas shopping, and bought our first christmas tree.
Now all we need is some of this :

What happened in May??

So May turned out to be a very exciting month. First off, May 29 was graduation day... ! Yeah i'm finally done. Graduation ceremony was long, but totally worth it.
Pictures before Graduation....

The Family.........
The parents and boyfriend....
Cap and Gown

and the diploma..

So after the excitment of graduation Barak and I decided to head home (now in Sandy). We had some dinner and then my mom and dad came over to help Barak fix the dryer. Right before my parents left Barak said he had something to ask me.....oh my gosh I thought. Before I knew it Barak was on his knee and I was crying. So Barak decided to propose for my graduation gift from him, and I couldn't be happier :)
Here is a picture of my ring.....

The next day my parent had a graduation bbq, and we announced our engagement. It was a lot of fun, and the cake was delicious..

So as you can see we all had fun. Summer is officially here. Now its on to planning the wedding...!

Hello...Good Bye...

So Barak is officially leaving for Tuscan, AZ in about 7 hours. We have already said our goodbyes and it was A LOT harder for me than I thought it would be. He will be gone for a month, and that is the longest we have been apart since we started dating. It's gonna be hard. We are in the process of moving, and now its all me to get us moved in on time. I'm 26 days away from graduation, but without Barak here time is gonna by way slow. I am going to have a lot free time, so if anyway would like to do something sometime let me know.

2009

Hey Everyone....

So I decided to create a blog. Yes, I do have a facebook and myspace, but I wanted a place where I could collect my thoughts and share them with people that are interested.

Well I guess I'll tell you a little about whats been on mind. I'm a senior at Lehi High School, and will be graduating on May 29th. I can't wait til I get out in the world and do something for myself. Anyway, I have been dating Barak Rowett for about 15 months, and have enjoyed every minute of it. We have talked about getting married, but as of right now the decision is still up in the air. We are planning on moving in together in the summer, and if things work out then that's what we'll do. I know of few people out there that think I'm way to young to be thinking/talking about marriage and moving out. I do what is right for myself and that's it. Just because I make choices that you think are wrong doesn't mean that they are wrong. Everybody is different and needs different things. So thats just a little bit of what's been on my mind lately.

To sum up 2009 so far:

January: This January Barak and I celebrated our 19th and 18th birthdays. (yes we have the same birthday, January 14th.) We also celebrated our 1st year together as a couple. That was so exciting for us.

February: February was an interesting month. On Feb. 13th (it was friday the 13th) I was in a little fender bender, thankfully it wasn't anything serious. There was some damage to my car, but at least nobody was hurt. On Feb. 26th My aunt and uncle (Foster's) welcomed their 4th child, Evan Samual. I haven't had a chance to see him in person but from the pictures I have received he is adorable.

March: March has been the most exciting month so far. I finally got that ugly dent in my car fixed and it looks awesome. On March 15th, Barak's sister welcomed her 1st child. It was so exciting to be involved with her through out her whole pregnancy. Miya Star Rowett weighed 7lbs. 14oz. and was 19 inches long. She had a full head of black hair and it's absolutely gorgeous. I also decided it was time for new hair style after letting if grow out for over a year. I ended up cutting 10". It has taken me some time to get used to but I finally have the hang of it.
